About

About CogniClinic
CogniClinic is a neuro-developmental therapy consultancy based in Sligo, serving families and individuals across the Northwest of Ireland.
Our name reflects our philosophy: Cogni (mind, thinking, development) and Clinic (a place of care and expertise). We believe that true neuro-developmental support must honour the connection between body, brain, and connection – the physical nervous system, the developing brain, and the relationships that help people thrive.
We are neurodiversity-affirming, meaning we do not seek to "fix" or "normalise" neurodivergent individuals. Instead, we seek to understand each person's unique nervous system, identify areas of tension or dysregulation, and provide gentle, evidence-informed support that respects who they are.
We are body-based, meaning we recognise that developmental challenges, sensory difficulties, and emotional dysregulation are not just "in the mind" – they are held in the body, in the nervous system, and in retained primitive reflexes.
We are evidence-informed, grounding our work in established frameworks: INPP, Ayres Sensory Integration®, The Melillo Method, and ADOS-2.
CogniClinic is led by Ollwyn Moran M.Ed, founder and CEO of CogniKids, a Neuro-developmental clinician with advanced, internationally recognised training and a national media presence.
Ollwyn's clinical work is grounded in the understanding that many developmental, sensory, and behavioural challenges have their roots in retained primitive reflexes, hemispheric imbalances, and nervous system dysregulation. Her training allows her to assess and support these foundational issues directly.

Why Ollwyn founded CogniClinic
After years of supporting families through CogniKids, media work, and clinical practice, Ollwyn recognised a gap in the Northwest: there was no single place where families could access advanced neurodevelopmental assessment, reflex integration, sensory therapy, feeding support, and gentle craniosacral therapy – all under one roof, delivered by a practitioner with truly specialist training.
CogniClinic is the answer to that gap.
Our Values What they Mean
Neurodiversity-affirming We celebrate neurological differences. Our goal is not to change who you are, but to support your nervous system so you can thrive as yourself.
Body-based We work with the body – the nervous system, the primitive reflexes, the craniosacral rhythm – because the body holds the key to regulation and development.
Evidence-informed Our practice is grounded in established, peer- reviewed frameworks: INPP, Ayres Sensory Integration®, The Melillo Method, and ADOS-2.
Family-centred We listen to parents, carers, and individuals. You know your child best. We are here to partner with you.
Accessible We offer timely appointments (no years-long waiting lists) and all services qualify for MED1 tax relief.
